Here are some useful resources for your local church to help educate and motivate folks to go global.Here is a 35-page handbook for Black churches to use to develop their global missions program. Many resources are detailed. It's available for printing and distribution in your church. This downloadable PowerPoint™ presentation African Americans and Global Missions provides an overview of what missions is, a brief history of African American missions and scriptural reasons to engage the Great Commission. You may use and modify it according to your needs. What is the role of the local church in missionary preparation? Dr. Terry Hulbert, of Columbia School of Missions gives some help. Missions conferences expose the church to live missionaries and raise global missions awareness. How can you plan a conference? David Mays, of ACMC, shows you how. ACMC (Advancing Churches in Missions Commitment) has great print resources to challenge and edify. Here is a short list of resources. An African American missionary who needs to remain anonymous due to her field assignment gives a great one-page overview of how to get your church engaged globally. Adopt-A-People Clearing House makes it easy for your church to become personally involved in reaching a specific people group that needs Jesus Christ. Africa on Fire uses a discipleship-based missions training model, beginning with The Mission Mandate Training Seminar. Drs.
