African American Missionary Census

NOTE: The survey form is fixed and functional as of May 1, 2008.

We are often asked for the current number of African American cross-cultural missionaries. We hope to complete an updated census in 2008, but we need assistance. Please contact us with information about any current African American missionaries who have served, or intend to serve, for at least two years. Here is the survey form. Feel free to copy the survey link and send it to missionaries. Thanks for any help!

African American Mission Manifesto
This historic document was drafted in 2006 and 2007 and ratified by participants of the African American Missions Strategy Seminar on January 20, 2007. This conference was hosted by Columbia International University of Columbia, South Carolina. Careful and prayerful collaboration went into the document's development. Go here to read it, and to find other useful resources. Please share this website, which went online in December, 2007, with your friends.

Sudan 2008 Report PDF Print E-mail
Written by William Wade

joseph_bul_kuerps.jpgThis year's Southern Sudan ministry focused upon teaching and evangelism--particularly upon both personal and open-air evangelism. By God's grace 80 made professions of faith in Sudan and Uganda. We had freedom to preach at Torit's city center and to share Christ with shop owners and passers-by. Conditions at Torit improved significantly since 2007.

We also had a wonderful opportunity to help equip church planters and evangelists, and to participate in both house-to-house evangelism and in outdoor preaching at Ntenjeru, Uganda.

The trip went so smoothly that only at the end of the did it become clear why--two churches had prayed for us around-the-clock.  We hope to serve again in 2009. Please give us a call at 423-822-1091 if you're interested in a 2009 trip, or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Go here for a photo report of the 2008 mission.
