Kampala, Uganda is now a center for biblical studies and ministry preparation. At least three evangelical Bible colleges, two Christian universities and one master's-level theological seminary are training Christians from around Africa--Sudan, West Africa, East Africa and Central Africa at minimum. The Presbyterian Church in Uganda is also growing stronger, with approximately 140 congregations. Many Christian primary and secondary schools exists as well, all the way from "tree schools"--with leaves for roofs--to well-equipped institutions. RMNI workers had the privilege of serving in five schools during our two week stay in Uganda, March 7-21, 2009. Here is a photo report. Please

New PowerPoint presentations are available on four major world religions: Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Traditional Religions (Animism). These are the result of courses taken in world religions, ongoing studies and encounters with believers. Together these four religions comprise about forty-four percent of the global population as of mid-2009. To share the message of salvation through faith in Christ with all people, we must be far more intentional about sharing Christ with members of these cultural religions. These studies may be downloaded and modified for individual use (giving yourself credit for modifications). These studies are introductory both in content and in that enhancements are anticipated.

For the past six or seven years Global Mission Trends have been posted on this site. The 2009 edition has been extensively revised, and other updates are anticipated. It's designed to give an overview of four missions megatrends, with subtrends. Numerical estimates are projected to July 2009, using the missiometrics of David Barrett, Todd M. Johnson and Peter Crossing. You'll get a snapshot of the progress of Christian missions and the challenges we face. Go here to view it and here to download it.
