Uganda is a popular short-term ministry destination. We’ve taken teams to Uganda, since 1994, and have led other ministry teams to Kenya and Southern Sudan. Our current focus is upon under-served areas in Uganda. We’re serving atop Mt. Elgon for the third time, in response to a request for leadership training. We plan to serve in areas new to RMNI as well—Karamoja and Gulu.
We partner with Africa Christian Training Institute (ACTI), with whom we’ve worked for many years. Our ACTI Ugandan coordinator has an excellent country-wide network of Ugandan ministry partners and is very experienced in providing the services needed for short-term teams to serve effectively. Our goal is to develop relationships between team members (and their sending churches) and Ugandan ministry partners. We can facilitate fact-finding trips to determine how best you and your church could have a more enduring impact in Uganda. These are not vision trips, but generally rather intense periods of service. We believe that using our spiritual and professional gifts in the service of others cross-culturally is both scriptural and mandated, and thus a good investment of time and money.
We encourage servants of the Lord Jesus, who sense God’s leading to be servants of Ugandans, to join with us. We’re looking for those who will love others as themselves, and honor others above themselves (Romans 12:10). If you sense that this is your time and your ministry opportunity, or would like more information, please fill in the fields below, and we’ll be in contact with you.
